Care Community Trust people

Care Community Trust exists to run its free 'Care Community Camp' weekends for cancer ward patients and their partners, and others needing time out from medical treatments.

People wanting to attend a Care Community Camp are referred to us by their local Cancer Society support person or an organisation similarly  offering support to those facing a life-changing illness.

The Trust is chaired by Alistair McBride, the Minister of Scots Presbyterian Church, Vardon Road, Hamilton.

Other Trust board members are Chris Wright (treasurer), Lesley Dick (secretary) and Steve Searle.

The appointed Protectors of the Trust are Mike and Hilda-Marie Slatter, of Hamilton. Mike is a General Practitioner at Nga Mira Medical Centre at Ngaruawahia.

Care Community Trust's accounts are audited by a chartered accountancy.

The Waikato/Bay of Plenty Division of the NZ Cancer Society is a major funder of Care Community Trust.

A big 'thank-you' must also go to the Tidd Foundation Incorporated, J.R.McKenzie Trust, Hamilton City Council, Trust Waikato, D.V.Bryant Trust, Donny Charitable Trust, Sir John Logan Campbell Residuary Estate, New Zealand Post, Norah Howell Trust, Page Trust, WEL Energy Trust, Waikato WDFF Karamu Trust, Robbyn Storey- Nikau Sanctuary, Camp Raglan and, of course, Care's hosting volunteers and guests.
