What to do at Care Community Camp

Raglan Camp has various facilities we can use, including a flying fox, a group-size hammock, swimming pool and a confidence course suited to children and adults but requiring supervision by Care volunteers.

And then there's the walk through a DOC bush reserve, mostly on a metalled track down to Wainui Beach where the surf rolls in. The walk back can be a challenge, although the views are worth it. We often organise lifts from the surf club car-park back to camp to avoid the uphill walk.

Care groups often drive into Raglan township on Saturday mornings to visit the cafes, shops and the local stall market when operating. You'll love the balmy feel of Raglan with its historic hotel and main street palm trees, estuary walks and the children and 'kids-at-heart' fishing off the jetty.

A popular walk is over the Raglan bridge and along an estuary beach where there's safe swimming without the surf.
